LOGAN — A 36-year-old Hyrum man died Monday night in a motorcycle crash in south Logan. The accident occurred at approximately 9:48 p.m. near 1115 South Main Street.
Logan City Police Lt. Brooks Davis said the motorcyclist was traveling southbound, when he reportedly lost control of his bike. He then fell into the southbound lane of travel, where he was struck by a vehicle that was following.
Paramedics rendered life-saving efforts at the scene but the motorcyclist passed away from his injuries.
Davis said the victim was identified as Nico Oliva. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
According to Oliva’s Facebook page, he attended Logan High School and was employed by the Logan City Environmental Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
