RIVER HEIGHTS – Apple Days is this weekend. Apple Days is the annual River Heights City community celebration geared towards its residents.
There is a scavenger hunt that goes on from Thursday, Aug 13 through Saturday, Aug. 15. Details are posted on the River Heights City Instagram page. Prizes will be awarded on Saturday at Apple Days.
Thursday at 6:30 p.m. there is a men’s and women’s pickleball tournament. Friends and family can play on Saturday, Aug 15, beginning at 7 a.m. at the tennis courts behind the city offices.
Friday, Aug. 14 the America 250 program will feature Ross Peterson, a popular speaker and professor emeritus at Utah State University. The program will be held at 7 p.m. in the pavilion at Heber Olson Field.
Saturday, Aug. 15 activities include the Apple Days 5K / 10k Challenge. The race begins at 8 a.m. at 400 South 600 East. Registration is free but they accept donations to the Cache Valley Children’s Museum and Quinley’s Garden.
There is a bike decorating activity at 2:30 p.m. followed by the kids bike parade at 3:15 p.m. followed by the community parade at 4 p.m.
Heber Olson Field hosts a variety of festivities including children’s inflatables, booths, and entertainment from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Bingo will be played from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. followed by live music from 5:45 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Organizers have an Ariel Paraglider doing a prize drop from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Heber Olson Field, weather permitting.
