LOGAN – In cooperation with the Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre, the Cache Valley Interfaith Choir will host a benefit concert on Thursday, May 2.

Entitled “There’s No Business Like Show Business”, that event will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Utah Theatre.

Despite its name – which naturally recalls the 1954 musical film of the same name starring an ensemble cast including Ethel Merman, Donald O’Connor, Marilyn Monroe and Mitzi Gaynor, among others – the benefit concert will feature performances of both new and old Broadway hits.

All tickets sales for “There’s No Business Like Show Business” will benefit the UFOMT.

In addition to the 24 members of the Cache Valley Interfaith Choir, the event will feature vocal performances by local favorites Vanessa Ballam, Stefan Espinosa and Laura Seipert.

The Cache Valley Interfaith Choir was formed just after the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, at a time when the local community needed healing. Since then, the choir has dedicated itself to uniting a community of various faiths and backgrounds through the power of music.

In support of that mission, the Cache Valley Interfaith Choir has performed at numerous special events, including Martin Luther King Day, Earth Day, the annual Thanksgiving Interfaith program, Christmas concerts, Easter, Passover celebrations and Juneteenth holiday festivities.

Tickets for “There’s No Business Like Show Business” are on sale for $20 per person. Utah Theatre punch passes, date night, and family night will not apply for this benefit concert.

Tickets for this event can be purchased online at https://cvifchoir.org

The Utah Theatre is located at 18 West Center Street in downtown Logan.
