LOGAN – State officials are advising Cache Valley motorists to be aware of changing conditions on State Road 30 west of Logan due to the ongoing construction project there.

This map released by the Utah Department of Transportation shows revised traffic patterns and detours on State Road 30 west of Logan from now through early August due to planned repaving efforts (Image courtesy if UDOT).

Beginning today (June 18), Utah Department of Transportation crews will be shifting traffic to the north side of SR-30 between approximately 2100 West and 2600 West to begin repaving the south side of the road.

While that work is in progress – until early August — left-turn pockets in the area will be removed.

Local traffic only will be allowed between 1000 West and Gateway Drive during the aforementioned closures. Trucks and heavy vehicles should follow the signed detour route to reduce turning movement conflicts.

Eastbound drivers on SR-30 will be obliged to detour on 600 South via 1900 West, then back to SR-30 via 10th West.

Westbound drivers will detour on 1000 West to 200 South, then take 1900 West back to SR-30.

All drivers are also advised to follow posted signage and watch for flaggers.

In addition to the aforementioned closures, there will be a one-way flagging operation on SR-30 between the Cache County Sheriff’s Complex and 1000 West from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning.

Crews are also scheduled to close SR-30 between Gateway Drive and 1900 West Wednesday and Sunday nights for sewer work.
