LOGAN – Cache County residents anxious to return to school to pursue a graduate degree now have the help they need.

Tuesday Utah State University’s School of Graduate Studies launched the Community Pathway Scholarship which is designed to ease the financial burden of a return to school.

The scholarship, aimed at those living in Cache County, offers 50 percent tuition coverage for two quarters and a $500 living stipend per semester.

Candidates may apply through the Scholarship Universe portal beginning July 1. The scholarship will be available as early as this coming fall semester.

Among the criteria for scholarship eligibility, recipients must have been a Cache County resident for seven years who is returning to school after a minimum three-year break, and must have been accepted to USU grad school as a full-time student.
