CACHE VALLEY – U.S. Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT) will host a Telephone Town Hall for his 1st Congressional District constituents on Monday, Feb. 23.
Unlike the congressman’s other recent town hall question and answer sessions, this one will be held in the evening to facilitate broader participation.
The telephone town hall with Moore in Washington D.C. is set for 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time. The specific topic for this session will be working family tax cuts.
Moore is inviting all 1st District residents to join him by calling in to 833-305-1678 for a brief update on Capitol Hill events, following by questions and answers.
The big news from Washington is that the U.S. House narrowly passed the SAVE America Act. That proposal by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) would put teeth into existing federal regulations restricting voting in future elections to U.S. citizens only.
That legislation is now pending in the U.S. Senate, where it has reportedly gained 50 co-sponsors among Republicans.
The 1st District representative has also been busy recently.
In late January, Moore proposed to streamline the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) to eliminate unnecessary and burdensome rules for American individuals and businesses by introducing the Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Streamline the Code of Federal Regulations Act of 2026.
As the name of the bill suggests, Moore is proposing turning an artificial intelligence tool loose on the monumental chore of identifying redundant and/or outdated regulations in the federal code.
