LOGAN — Utah State University officials announced the cancellation of afternoon classes on the Logan campus Wednesday due to severe winter weather conditions.
According to an emergency alert issued shortly before noon, all classes beginning at 1:30 p.m. or later on Feb. 18 are canceled. The cancellation applies to in-person instruction on the Logan campus as well as classes originating from Logan and broadcast to other campuses across the state.
While academic instruction is paused for the afternoon, university offices and student services will remain open. University officials advised supervisors to work with employees to determine the best options for their individual safety and commuting situations.
The university urged students and staff to exercise extreme caution if traveling is necessary, though avoiding travel is recommended.
“Please take caution when traveling today and avoid travel if possible,” the alert stated.
