LOGAN — Cache County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a second suspect in the automobile homicide that killed local businessman Randy Wirth.

Michelle Hoppie was booked into the Cache County Jail Friday afternoon. The 42-year-old Millville woman is being held on charges of automobile homicide, a second-degree felony and failure to use an interlock device, a class B misdemeanor. Bail has been set at $10,583.

According to investigators, Hoppie is the girlfriend of Alvin Henson, who was already charged with the homicide.

Hoppie is the owner of the 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup that Henson was driving when he reportedly caused the three-vehicle accident in Millville, April 10 that killed Wirth.

Hoppie is expected to be arraigned in 1st District Court Monday.

On April 21, a judge ruled there is enough evidence to charge Henson with automobile homicide. He is due in court again in May.
