February 8, 1934 – March 25, 2022 (age 88)

Richard D. MacFarlane, 88, passed away on March 25, 2022 in Brigham City, Utah. He was born on February 8, 1934 in Santa Monica, California, a son of Edward and Luella Owen MacFarlane.
Richard graduated from Box Elder High School class of 1952. After graduation he attended Utah State Agricultural College and Weber State College. He served two years in the US Army.

Richard married his sweetheart, Kaye Williams on September 1, 1961 in Brigham City, Utah.
Richard worked for the Bureau of Reclamation for 14 years and then retired from Vulcraft in 1991, where he was the Regional Sales Manager. Richard loved raising and showing dogs, golfing and riding horses.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye; Kaye’s siblings, John (Linda) Williams; Martha (Craig) Stewart; Wendy (David) Kano; Alan (Brenna) Williams; Taryl (Dave) Shupe and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister-in-law, Linda Williams.

Richard is grateful for all the assistance given to him from the above-mentioned family members, Dennis and Debbie Roper, Dr. Nagao and his hospice nurse, Karl Wall.

Graveside services will be held at a later date, where military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans of Box Elder County.
