SALT LAKE CITY — Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have released the open house and dedication dates for the Red Cliffs Utah Temple. In a press release, the First Presidency said the temple will be the second in St. George.

President Henry B. Eyring, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, will dedicate the temple in two sessions on Sunday, Mar. 24, 2024. The dedicatory sessions will be broadcast to local meetinghouses in the temple district.
A public open house will be Jan. 30 through Mar. 2, excluding Sundays.
Church President Russell M. Nelson announced the Red Cliffs Utah Temple in October 2018. Construction began in November 2020.
Once dedicated, the temple will join the St. George Utah Temple as the second in the city, located in southwestern Utah. First settlers arrived in 1855, when missionaries from the Church established a mission in the nearby community of Santa Clara.
Utah, the Church’s world headquarters, is home to nearly 2.2 million members, approximately two-thirds of the state’s population of 3.4 million people. The Utah temples in operation, under construction, or announced include the Bountiful, Brigham City, Cedar City, Deseret Peak, Draper, Ephraim, Heber Valley, Jordan River, Layton, Lindon, Logan, Manti, Monticello, Mount Timpanogos, Ogden, Oquirrh Mountain, Orem, Payson, Provo City Center, Provo, Red Cliffs, Salt Lake, Saratoga Springs, Smithfield, St. George, Syracuse, Taylorsville and Vernal.
