LOGAN — A 47-year-old inmate at the Cache County Jail, died Wednesday afternoon, a day after he was arrested in Logan.

Cache County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Peterson said Bradley Roach of Providence was found unresponsive in his cell by jail deputies around 5:15 p.m.

Peterson said jail staff immediately began to try and resuscitate Roach. He was transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Jail records show that Roach was arrested Tuesday night on charges of intoxication, carrying a dangerous weapon while under the influence, shooting a weapon within city limits and other criminal mischief.

He was booked into the Cache County Jail early Wednesday at 1:05 a.m. Bail had been set at $2,249.

Peterson said no further details are being released, while an investigation is conducted by both the Davis County Sheriff’s Office and State Medical Examiner’s Office.
