LOGAN — Police were able to locate a man who walked away from a hospital early Wednesday morning.

According to police radio traffic, the man fled Logan Regional Hospital after staff there, tried to admit him into the Behavioral Health Unit. He was reportedly seen fleeing west of the hospital.

An officer later spotted the man walking along the street, and radioed for backup. The patient continued to flee, running north but was later stopped and taken into custody near 770 North 300 East.

The man, who was not identified, was transported back to the hospital for treatment.
