GREEN RIVER, Utah (AP) — A 23-year-old woman has died in a car crash on U.S. Highway 6 in Emery County.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/29aynBM ) that Cali Trunnell, of Paradise, died after a westbound pickup truck swerved and veered into the eastbound lane, striking the driver’s side of Trunnell’s sedan. The truck had swerved to avoid a wheel that fell off an eastbound SUV.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, Trunnell died on impact.
A 14-year-old passenger in Trunnell’s car was transported by helicopter to a hospital for a broken nose and bruising. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
