LOGAN  — Officials in Logan have announced a modified schedule for Logan City services and facilities during the upcoming Christmas holiday.

All city offices will be closed on Christmas Day (Thursday, Dec. 25) and Friday, Dec. 26.

Residential garbage and recycling will not be collected as usual on Christmas, according to a Logan Public Works spokesperson. 

Regular Thursday garbage routes will be collected on Friday, Dec. 26. Residents on those routes are asked to please have their containers at the curb by 7 a.m. and to leave containers out at the curb until they are collected.

The city landfill will close at 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 24) and remain closed to the public through Christmas Day. Normal hours will resume at the landfill on Friday, Dec. 26.

The Logan River Golf Course will also be closed on Christmas Day and Dec. 26, along with the City’s Cemetery Office.

The Logan Library will close at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed throughout the day on Christmas. The library will resume its normal hours on Friday, Dec. 26.

The Logan Community Recreation Center will not operate on Wednesday Dec. 24 and Christmas Day, but will resume normal hours on Friday, Dec. 26.

The ice skating rink at the Carol and Jim Laub Plaza in downtown Logan will be open for reduced hours until 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 24). The ice skating rink will be closed on Christmas Day, but resume normal hours on Friday, Dec. 26.
