LOGAN — A former chiropractor remains in the Cache County Jail as prosecutors reported Monday that even more charges may be filed against him. Evan J. LeFevre, 58, faces 34 charges of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, in 21 separate cases.
LeFevre appeared March 2 in Logan’s 1st District Court for a pretrial conference. Defense attorney Shannon Demler said he had been sorting through volumes of evidence but wanted to wait and see how many more charges are filed before moving forward.
Cache County deputy attorney Mark Winkel said additional cases were being screened after more women came forward to law enforcement. He expected the charges would be filed within the next week.
LeFevre was first arrested in December 2025. At that time, he was charged with four counts of forcible sexual abuse stemming from incidents alleged to have occurred between 2018 and 2025.
Following media coverage of the initial arrest, police said more women contacted investigators to report inappropriate conduct by the former doctor within the past 10 years. LeFevre was arrested again February 11 on the new allegations and has been held without bail.
During Monday’s court appearance, Judge Angela Fonnesbeck ordered LeFevre to remain in jail and appear again in court March 16. She also ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victims.
LeFevre formerly practiced as a chiropractor in Logan since 1997. He faces more than 15 years in prison, if convicted.
Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
