LOGAN — Law enforcement have arrested a 60-year-old Logan man for allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s apartment and asking to have sex. Jeffrey Harold Wood was booked Wednesday afternoon into the Cache County Jail after officers learned that he had also been peering in neighbor’s windows.

According to an arrest report, Logan City Police officers originally received a burglary complaint on June 10. The alleged victim claimed they had woke up to find the suspect in his bedroom wanting to have sex with him.

Wood reportedly left the apartment after the victim threatened him.

Two days later, officers received a report of a prowler at the same apartment building, near 890 Canyon Road. The complainant was the first victim’s roommate. She claimed Wood was pacing outside the apartment and looking in the windows.

Police detained and questioned Wood. He claimed his neighbors often called him to come over. He then invoked his right to have an attorney present so the questioning stopped, the report stated.

The alleged victim later told officers that Wood was never invited over.

Jail records show, Wood was booked on suspicion of voyeurism, lewdness and burglary of a dwelling. Police are requesting he be held without bail, claiming he is a flight risk and substantial danger to the community.

Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
