January 23, 1942 – August 18, 2022 (age: 80)

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Frankie Oleta Marler, 80, of Logan, UT. She passed away on August 18, 2022 after a long illness.

Frankie was born on January 23rd, 1942 to William and Donie (McFarlin) Morley in La Junta, Colorado. After attending Kim High School, she moved to Denver, Colorado to live with her sister Louise. In Denver, she met David Douglas, and they wed in 1958, going on to have 4 children, Dale Douglas, Cheryl Douglas, Sharon (Kim) Ropelato, and David Douglas. They divorced and she later met and married Nathan Marler in 1967. They went on to have 2 children, Christina (Jerry) Merritt and Steven (Cherie) Marler.

After retiring from Cache Valley Dairy, Frankie spent her time playing cards, crocheting, vacationing with her children, listening to music, and traveling to Bear Lake and Wendover with her many friends. Frankie was predeceased by her parents, 3 sisters, and 1 brother. She is survived by her 6 children, 16 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Mountain Care for their compassion and devotion to our sweet mother in the last years of her life. She made many friends at the home and enjoyed showing her mastery at playing cards.

A service of remembrance will be held on August 24, 2022 at Nelson Funeral Home, located at 162 E 400 N, Logan, UT 84321.

A public visitation will be held prior to the memorial service, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM with the service to take place at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at the Lewiston Cemetery, following the services.
