Our beloved wife, mother, and grandma Sharon Kay McCann passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 74 surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born October 9, 1947 in Tremonton, Utah to John Alfred and Margaret McGinty. As a child, she attended McKinley Elementary and loved horses and playing Cowboys and Indians. She attended Bear River High School and graduated class of 1965 then went on to attend Hollywood Beauty College in Logan, Utah. It was during this time when she met her eternal companion Wendell Dee McCann.
After a brief courtship, Wendell and Sharon were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah temple on May 12, 1967. Following their marriage, the young couple made their home in Garland, Utah. Together they had four children: Troy Wendell (Becky), Darren J., Andrea Johnson (Shaun), and Shane Marc (Heidi). Sharon started her career as a beautician at the Exquisite Salon in Tremonton. As they started their family, she transitioned to a home salon.
Once her kids were grown, she worked as a beautician at the Bear River Valley Care Center where she loved all the residents. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, puzzles, watching soap operas, going for drives, camping, and spending time with her family. Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in her ward primary for 29 years. During retirement, Sharon and Wendell spent 3 summers hosting at Big Springs campground in Idaho and loved every minute of it.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Wendell, son Troy Wendell and daughter Andrea, sister Carol Perkins (Randy), daughter in-law Heidi McCann, and grandchildren Brady, Zachary, Clayton, Joshua, Anissa, Makayla, Darren, Victoria, and Danny.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret McGinty, sons Shane Marc and Darren J. McCann, and granddaughter Kaylee McCann.
Funeral services will be held at the Garland Tabernacle Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 am preceded by a viewing at 9:00 am.

Interment will be held at Deweyville cemetery.
