LOGAN — A man refused medical treatment after officials said his bush plane flipped over during a bumpy landing near Mt. Sterling.

According to emergency radio traffic, deputies and paramedics responded to the scene near 2891 W. 8200 South just before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Two men had reportedly been flying bush planes in the area before they attempted to land on an old private runway.

The men chose a landing spot that was too bumpy, and one of the planes ended up flipping over while trying to land.

The man in the flipped plane had lacerations to his head. He refused medical treatment, and no other injuries were reported.

The incident was turned over to the NTSB and FAA for investigation.
