On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 12:55AM, Eldena Harrison Smith, loving wife, mother, and sister passed away at the age of 82. Eldena was born on November 26, 1939, in Malad, ID to Parry D. and Laura B. (Wells) Harrison. On July 25, 1958, she married Eldon Smith in the Logan, UT Temple. They raised 6 children. She was a stay-at-home mother until her last child went off to kindergarten in 1983. She then started a 20-year career as an elementary teacher assistant for the Tulare, CA School District.

Eldena dedicated her life to serving her Heavenly Father, her family and her fellowmen. She enjoyed working with her husband for 10 years in the Fresno Temple and then in the Twin Falls Temple. She served in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She had a passion for sewing, quilting, embroidery, cross stitch, reading, and family. She has made many quilts and a variety of hand sewn projects for family and friends. She taught her children how to serve, how to love, how to work, and how to have fun. She was loved by all who knew her.

Eldena is preceded in death by her husband Eldon, and two grandchildren Nygel and Brandy.

She is survived by her 6 children: Lucinda Currier (Steve) of Hansen, ID, Elizabeth Johnson (Raybon) of Twin Falls, ID, Jennifer Riches (Mark) of Cookeville, TN, Thomas Smith (Cindi Barfuss) of West Point, UT, Rebecca Zaugg (Sean) of Twin Falls, ID and David Smith (Mindy Rands) of Washington, UT and her sister RoseAnn Elicker (Sheldon) of Auburn, CA.

24 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren (4 on the way) and 1 great-great-grandson.  2 sisters-in-laws; Carolyn Smith, Sharon Morris (Don) and 1 brother-in-law; Dale Smith (Teresa).

A funeral service will be held on Monday August 8th, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (behind the Temple) on 2085 S. Temple Dr, Twin Falls, ID at 11:00.

There will be a viewing before the funeral at the same location from 9:30-10:30am.

There will be a graveside service at the Malad City Cemetery around 3:30-4:00.
