August 3, 1930 ~ February 28, 2024 (age 93)

Edy was born on August 3, 1930, in Omaha, NE, to Manley Haywood Polmatier and Opal Clara Jackson Polmantier. She lived in Tekamah, NE until age 12 at which time the family moved to Fremont, NE. There she attended Jr. High School and graduated Sr. High School in 1948.

She married Robert Warren Grobe Sr. in 1950. In 1955 they moved to Waco, Texas and in 1959 moved to Brigham City, UT. Edy was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. She was an Alter Guild Chairman and Senior Warden among a variety of other church positions.

Edy was a woman of many talents and passions. She was known for her work as a Real Estate Agent and her service at Malmrose Pharmacy and Drug Store. She was an invaluable volunteer at the Brigham City Community Hospital, always ready to lend a helping hand and a smiling face. Edy also loved to open her home to friends and family, hosting parties. She also enjoyed attending parties. She was a great cook, a prolific reader, a needlepoint artist, and a golf enthusiast.

Edy was survived by a son Robert Warren Grobe Jr. of Magna, UT and a daughter, Patricia Claire Grobe of Perry, UT. Bob and Edy had 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Edy is preceded in death by her father, Manley Polmantier, her mother, Opal Jackson, and her husband, Robert Grobe Sr. daughter Sally Tazoi, Grandaughter Emilee Tazoi, Grandson Robert Grobe III.

The family would like to express their appreciation for Enhabit Home Health and Hospice for their care of Edy.

Edythe Grobe was a beacon of warmth, generosity, and kindness in every community she belonged to. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her radiant spirit and unwavering love.

The Graveside Service will be held at the Columbarium, Brigham City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or Episcopal Relief and Development Fund at St. Michaels Episcopal Church.

There will be a party following the private graveside service on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Iron Gate 960 East 700 South Brigham City, UT 84302.
