LOGAN – The Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Awards Gala on Thursday, Mar. 26.
That event — honoring the businesses and individuals who make Cache Valley thrive — will begin at 6 p.m. at the Riverwoods Conference Center.
“You won’t want to miss this signature event,” promised Jaime Andrus, the president and CEO of the Cache Chamber during a Mar. 12 live broadcast of the For the People program on KVNU radio.
“This is our chance to celebrate the businesses, leaders and community members who contribute to our fantastic business community.”
In addition to the usual awards presented at the annual gala, including Woman of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, etc. – Andrus told FTP host Jason Williams that the Chamber will also be introducing new categories of awards this year.
Those will include awards for best business expansion, best place to work, best human resource management and others.
Among honorees being recognized this year will be former Logan mayor Holly Daines.
A Cache Valley native, Daines graduated from Utah State University and received a master’s degree in Arts Administration from the University of Utah. Prior to returning to Logan with her husband Peter in 1989, she worked for arts organizations in Salt Lake City and New York City.
Daines served as Logan’s mayor from 2017 to 2025 and previously served on the Logan City council for eight years.
Daines’ achievements as mayor have included revitalizing Center Street; the approval, funding and construction of the Carol and Jim Laub Plaza in downtown Logan; the beautification of the city’s South Main gateway; the funding, design and construction of the new Logan Library; and others.
The schedule of events for the Chamber Gala includes a social hour from 6 to 6:45 p.m. with dinner and the awards program to begin at 7 p.m.
