LOGAN — Firefighters quickly extinguished a grass fire Monday afternoon that burned about one-third of an acre and damaged two structures, authorities said.

Crews were dispatched just before 2 p.m. to the area of 1000 South and 200 East in Providence following reports of a brush fire endangering a nearby building, according to the Logan City Fire Department.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the flames had already spread to a shed and caused minor exterior damage to a home. Crews managed to stop the fire’s spread and quickly put out the flames.

No injuries were reported. The Cache County Fire District and the Hyrum Fire Department assisted Logan firefighters at the scene.
