LOGAN – The annual Spring Cleanup for Logan residents is right around the corner.

That two-week cleanup campaign event is slated to begin Monday, April 13 and run through Monday, April 27. During that period, Logan residents may take their bulk green waste and yard debris to one of five central locations within the city limits.

The service is free and available to city residents only, according to officials of the Logan City Street Division.

The drop-off locations include the parking stalls on 1350 North at Lundstrom Park; the parking lot at Hyrum Gibbons Mount Logan Park; the east parking stalls at Merlin Olsen Park; Bridger Park; and the north end of the Quad parking lot at Willow Park.

City officials caution residents not to leave debris at those locations after the green waste bins are removed on April 27, however.

They also advise residents not to place any green waste, yard debris or other trash items at their curbside. Those items will not be picked up at the curb and disposing of them will become the owners’ responsibility.

Only yard debris placed in city issued green waste containers will be picked up from curbside on a weekly basis.

Anyone wanting to sign up for a curbside green waste can is instructed to call 435-716-9755 or visit the Logan City Environmental Department website.

Street locations of the drop-off points are 1600 East, 1350 North for Lundstrom Park; 1400 East, 350 South for Hyrum Gibbons Mount Logan Park; 250 East Center Street for Merlin Olsen Park; 1179 North, 400 East for Bridger Park; and 500 West, 700 South for Willow Park.
