LOGAN – Cache County Democrats have the announced the schedule for their upcoming caucus and convention gatherings.

New party chair Brian R. Jurena said Mar. 17 that the Democratic County Caucus will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 22 in the Old Main Auditorium on the campus of Utah State University.

The Cache Democrat’s 2022 Convention is slated for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 26, also in the Old Main Auditorium on the USU campus.

The caucus is open and all are invited,” Jurena explained. “That event will be an opportunity to learn how to become a party delegate. Anyone interested in getting Democrats elected should come.”

Those events will also be a chance for local Democrats to meet their new party leaders.

The central committee of the Cache Democrats recently chose replacements to fill vacant party leadership positions at a meeting on Mar. 12.

Jurena is the new chair of the Cache Democrats. He has been active in the party as a delegate at the state conventions in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Jurena can be contacted at brjurena@gail.com.
