LOGAN – Members of the Wilson Neighborhood Council are inviting their friends and neighbors to join them in a local beautification project on Saturday, May 4.
The effort will be aimed at cleaning up littler on the north side of Canyon Road from Center Street to 600 East, according to organizer Hilary Shughart.
She adds that the clean-up project will be a perfect time to provide community service while enjoying the beautiful weather that is forecast for the morning hours on Saturday.
The volunteers are advised to meet on the north side of Merlin Olsen Park at 9 a.m., around Center Street and 170 East. Logan City officials will provide trash bags, garbage grabbers, vinyl-coated gloves and safety vests at that location.
“We’ll distribute supplies, “ Shugart says, “Then talk about safety and logistics. After that, volunteers will be sent out to various locations along Canyon Road.
“We hope to see a lot of people there.”
