CACHE COUNTY – With the Christmas and New Year’s holidays over, the Cache County Republican Party is now preparing for the upcoming 2026 General Session of the Utah Legislature.
In that in mind, the Cache GOP has scheduled precinct trainings for party delegates from the county’s North and Northeast Districts, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Green Canyon High School.
Following that training session, local residents can also attend a Town Hall meeting with state Rep. Jason Thompson (R-River Heights) at the same location.
Residents are being invited to share their thoughts, ask questions and talk about the issues that matter most to them and their families, according to Thompson.
Elected to the Utah Legislature in 2024 to replace long-time representative Dan Johnson, Thompson is looking forward to his second General Session as a lawmaker.
The 45-day General Session of the Utah Legislature is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Green Canyon High School is located at 2960 Wolf Pack Way in North Logan.
