LOGAN – The Cache Children’s Choir (CCC) will perform a vocal concert entitled PEACE! On Monday, May 12.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Newel and Jean Daines Concert Hall in the Chase Fine Arts Center on the campus of Utah State University.
Performers from four fabulous choruses of young voices will celebrate the beauty of music, kindness and understanding, according to Allen Matthews, the CCC artistic director.
“From soaring melodies to playful rhythms,” he adds, “These children will fill your hearts with hope for a peaceful world.”
Following the PEACE! concert, a reception will be held in the courtyard adjacent to the Daines Hall to provide audience members with an opportunity to meet with CCC members.
Founded in 1987, the Cache Children’s Choir is a non-profit organization that aims to inspire and nurture children from diverse backgrounds through excellent musical education and performance experiences.
CCC offers children ranging in ages from pre-school to teenagers the opportunity to participate in five separate choral groups.
Those ensembles are the Cadenza Choir for pre-schoolers; the Caprice Choir for students enrolled in kindergarten and first grade; the Cadet Choir for second and third graders; the Chorale Choir, an intermediate ensemble; and the Cantate Choir, which is an advanced ensemble.
Cache Children’s Choir is supported in part by the Dell Loy Hansen Charitable Trust; the Manon Caine Russell Foundation; Utah State Office of Education; the Utah Division of Arts and Museums through the National Endowment for the Arts; Cache County RAPZ tax grants; Logan City; the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University; the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation; Watkins Printing; the Cache Valley Media Group; and, dedicated private donors.
