After more than a decade of serving Utah families as Utah Behavior Services (UTBS), the organization is entering a new era with a new name: Bridgeway Integrated Healthcare Services. While the name and logo may look different, the heart behind the mission remains the same.
The rebrand reflects the organization’s growth into a comprehensive, integrated care model that brings together Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), mental health services, psychiatric medication management, and psychological evaluations all under one roof.
“Utah Behavior Services was a powerful beginning. It was built to support families across Utah, and for years, that’s exactly what we’ve done. We created systems that worked, and we have made a difference for hundreds of Utah families,” said Natalie Whatcott, CEO and president of the organization, in her announcement about the rebrand. “We are proud of what we’ve accomplished as UTBS, but we know there is more to be done, not just for the families we serve, but for our team families as well.”
To mark the transition and invite the community to learn more, Bridgeway is hosting a series of free, sensory-friendly Family Festivals at all seven of its Utah locations throughout July, which began in St. George on July 8. Each event features food trucks, bounce houses, sensory-friendly zones, and local character appearances like Spider-Man, tailored to each local center.
“These events are a celebration,” Isabell Nakasone, a community outreach specialist for the organization, said. “They’re a way to say thank you to the families who have grown with us and an invitation to anyone curious about what we offer. Even if you don’t need our services today, you’ll walk away knowing what’s available if you ever do.”
For Northern Utah residents, events are scheduled at the Roy location on Tuesday, July 29, and the Brigham City location on Thursday, July 31, both from 5 to 8 p.m. The Brigham City office is located at 35 Skyline Drive, and the Roy office is at 1858 W. 5150 South.
FAQ booths will offer information on services, and attendees can tour the facilities with the organization’s family advocates.
“Our goal is always to strengthen as many families as possible,” says Shay Lambert, Clinical Vice President for Northern Utah. “We’ve perfected our model over the years. We offer truly integrated healthcare services. It’s kind of a one-stop shop.”
Applied behavior analysis is the primary service provided at Bridgeway Integrated Healthcare Services, Lambert explained further, but they also offer day treatment services, mental health outpatient services, psychological evaluations, primary care as well as medical management services. The organization also offers a private school to ensure clients continue their education if they need to leave their regular school for treatment.
Bridgeway’s fully-integrated model is part of what sets it apart in the behavioral health space. Crucially, current clients don’t need to worry about losing access or navigating major changes.
“We are not going anywhere, and your services will not be disrupted. Your day-to-day services and treatment goals will not change,” said Whatcott. “We are still committed to developing successful children, adults, and families through advocacy and high-quality, evidence-based services.”
And Lambert said these services don’t work without the staff who care deeply about helping others.
“It goes all the way down to our direct line staff who work one-to-one with our clients,” Lambert explained. “We couldn’t serve the clients that we have or the ones we want to reach without our staff. We have multiple levels of staff and each one of them has a very important job to make sure that we are supporting these families.”
