BRIGHAM CITY – A special Board of Education session will be held Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. to officially announce the new superintendent of Box Elder School District. The meeting will be held at the district offices located at 960 South Main Street in Brigham City and will also be streamed on the district’s YouTube channel.

The Box Elder School District announced in March they were seeking qualified candidates for the position of Superintendent of Schools.

The vacancy was created by the retirement of Steve Carlsen, who decided after 44 years in public education it was time to call it quits.

Carlsen served as Superintendent for the Box Elder School District for the past nine years.
