An electrical short is believed to be the cause of Thursday morning’s barn fire in Paradise.

The fire was first reported at 7:57 a.m. near 9280 South 200 West.

Cache County Fire Marshal Jason Winn said the first crews on the scene reported flames coming from the main entrance, at the front of the barn.

Firemen were able to quickly contain the fire to a single room in the barn.

The barn sustained only minor damage, estimated around $5000. No other structures were damaged.

The Paradise Fire Department was helped by crews from Hyrum, Wellsville and the Cache County EMS and Fire District.
