Nibley City office building

LOGAN — Law enforcement are continuing to investigate a burglary last week at the Nibley City Offices. The suspect allegedly stole the city’s safe, with an undisclosed amount of money inside.

The burglary was reported early on the morning of Nov. 15, as employees arrived for work and found a window broken.

Cache County Sheriff’s Lt. Doyle Peck said investigators obtained surveillance video, showing the suspect entering the building and going through the offices. He was wearing a balaclava, hoodie and hat, concealing his identity.

Video showed the suspect entering through the window. He stayed inside for a while and seemed to have a knowledge of the office layout.

Detectives believe the burglar has hit other city offices recently. He likely scoped out the area days before the break-in and knew his way around.

Peck said law enforcement is asking if anyone saw a suspicious individual around the city office building earlier this month, to contact the sheriff’s office.
