LOGAN – The Shingo Publication Award promotes writing that has had a significant impact and advances the body of knowledge regarding organizational excellence.
The Shingo Institute, a program within the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, is most interested in recognizing thought leadership.
Monday the Huntsman School announced the book Wiring the Winning Organization as this year’s winner of the Shingo Publication Award.
The authors — Gene Kim and Steven J. Spear — use the principles of simplification, slowification and amplification, to show organizations how to overcome complex challenges to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.
The Shingo Institute is named after Japanese industrial engineer Shigeo Shingo, one of the world’s thought leaders in the Toyota Production System.
The authors will be recognized at the Shingo Connect Awards Gala, March 19, 2026 in San Diego, California. Spear is a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and Kim is an award-winning researcher and author living in Portland, Oregon.
