LOGAN – Utahns turned out in force this year for the Warm Bodies, Warm Souls clothing drive, donating hundreds of coats, boots and other winter essentials to help families statewide prepare for colder weather. Organizers reported that the annual effort, led by Bank of Utah, Arctic Circle and Red Hanger, collected 561 bags of warm clothing and $10,040 in cash contributions from 73 collection sites.

Those donations are now being delivered to 15 nonprofit partners from Logan to St. George. Northern Utah beneficiaries include the Cache Community Food Pantry, Cache Valley Humanitarian Center and Tremonton Community Pantry, which will distribute items to families in need across Cache Valley and Box Elder County.

Warm Bodies, Warm Souls began in 2011 as a Bank of Utah initiative and has grown into a statewide tradition. Arctic Circle joined the effort in 2014, expanding the reach of the drive through dozens of restaurant locations and advertising campaigns. Red Hanger partnered with the drive five years ago, adding 12 drop-off sites and providing transportation support for donation bins.

This year, the campaign also saw support from local businesses such as Great Dane Transportation and Gandy Dancer Mercantile, which gathered donations and delivered them to drop-off locations.

Organizers said donor participation once again demonstrated the generosity of Utah residents and the power of community collaboration in helping vulnerable families stay warm through the winter.
