LOGAN – A free screening of the Sundance Film Festival feature The Lake is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 6 on the campus of Utah State University.
That presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Room 215 of the George S. Eccles Business Building, jointly sponsored by USU, the Stokes Nature Center and the Grow the Flow advocacy group.
A question and answer session will follow the screening at 8 p.m. The members of the panel will include USU professor Patrick Belmont, an Independent candidate for the 3rd District seat in the Utah Legislature.
Following its debut at the Sundance Film Festival, The Lake was reviewed by Rolling Stone Magazine, where the film was described as “a complicated mixture of politics, faith, science, skepticism and activism.”
The doors of Room 215 will open at 6 p.m.
University officials warn that seating for the screening will be limited.
Belmont is vying for the 3rd District seat in the Legislature against incumbent GOP Rep. Jason Thompson.
The George S. Eccles Business Building is located at 600 North, 700 East on the USU campus.
