WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT) will host a Telephone Town Hall for his constituents on Tuesday, Mar. 24
Like the congressman’s other recent town hall question and answer session in February, this one will be held in the evening to facilitate broader participation.
The telephone town hall with Moore in Washington D.C. is set for 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time. The specific topic for this session will Moore’s recent legislative work and constituent service efforts.
Thanks to a recent court-ordered reshuffling of the state’s congressional districts, most of Moore’s previous 1st District constituents now reside in what has become Utah’s 2nd District.
So Moore is now inviting all 2nd District residents to join him by calling in to 833-305-1678 for a brief update on Capitol Hill events, following by questions and answers.
The 2st District representative has been busy recently helping stranded travelers return from the Middle East.
In the midst of the ongoing war with Iran, Moore learned that a tour group that included more than 60 Utahns was caught in Dubai when that nation closed its airspace after the fighting began in late February.
Through consultations with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and with the help of Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and other members of Utah’s congressional delegation, a charter flight was finally arranged to air-lift the stranded tourists to safety.
