LOGAN – State Rep. Jason Thompson (R-Dist. 3) has slated a town hall meeting with constituents from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5.
That gathering will take place at the South Pavilion in Merlin Olsen Park in in Logan.
The incumbent Republican says that one of his top priorities is keeping residents of House District 3 involved in the legislative process.
“As we get closer to the general election,” Thompson explains, “I think it’s crucial for voters to know their candidates, understand their records and make an informed decision on Election Day.”
Since being elected to the Legislature in 2024, Thompson says that he has sponsored multiple pieces of legislation to enhance child care options for working families, expand student housing and tackle chronic absenteeism in Utah schools.
In the Nov. 3 general election, Thompson is seeking re-election to the District 3 seat in the Legislature in competition with Independent candidate Patrick Belmont.
House District 3 encompasses portions Logan and River Heights, as well as the communities of Richmond and Cove.
“It’s important to me for my constituents to see the work I’m doing in the Legislature,” Thompson emphasizes. “If I’m re-elected, I will continue to prioritize the issues that they bring to me at events like this town hall.”
Going forward, Thompson pledges to continue to focus his efforts on education, regulation of data center construction and increased transparency within the Utah Legislature.
