Shawn Lowell Machen, 49, passed away on June 18, 1972 in Perry, Utah. He was born on July 28, 1972 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Shauna Christensen and Stephen Machen. He graduated from Weber Hight School in 1990. He went on his mission to Jacksonville, Florida in October 1991 and returned having had a very successful mission in 1993. He then went to Weber State University and graduated with high honors in 1992. Shawn married Camille Shupe on September 15, 2000 in the Bountiful Temple and had three wonderful children, Elise Marie on July 3, 2002, Ian Thomas on August 27, 2004, and Tristan Shawn on August 3, 2007. They later divorced but have remained friends.
Shawn worked as a Call Center Manager for many years at Wells Fargo as well as other companies. Shawn had many hobbies. He loved to rebuild Ford Mustangs, and was very successful at it. He loved listening to music. He collected many albums and LPs. He always enjoyed sharing his love of music with his family and friends, often listening for hours.
Shawn is survived by his children, Elise, Ian and Tristan, as well as his mother Shawna Astle. He is also survived by his sister Marlo Brown, his brother Christopher Machen, sister Stephanie Bambrough, and sister Misty Junkins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday June 24, 2022 at 11am at the Perry 8th Ward Chapel, 685 West 2250 South, Perry, UT.
Viewings will be held from 6pm to 8pm Thursday June 23, 2022 at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E. 200 S., Brigham City, and at the church on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
Interment will be in the Hooper City Cemetery at 2:30 pm following the services at the Hooper City Cemetery, 5290 S. 6300 W.
