LOGAN — Police and family members are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing couple last seen Friday near the intersection of Main and Center streets.
Garrett Dutcher, 41, and Meredith Maughan Dutcher, 42, were last spotted on Dec. 19 in downtown Logan. Relatives believe the pair is traveling on foot and have expressed significant concern for their safety and well-being.
The Logan City Police Department received a report of the missing couple on Sunday. It was reported by family members that the pair had left a typed note that concerned them. The note provided instructions on what to do with their property and vehicle left at home.
Officers suspect the Dutchers may have left their residence on foot. Police have searched the residence and surrounding areas with no success.
Family members are specifically urging hikers and outdoor enthusiasts in the surrounding canyons to remain vigilant. Descriptions of the couple’s clothing at the time of their disappearance were not immediately available. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts or who may have seen them on local trails is asked to contact the Logan Police Department immediately.
