LOGAN — Emergency crews were called to the Wind Cave in Logan Canyon to help a distressed hiker. The incident was reported Friday, just after 12 p.m.
According to emergency radio communications, the 65-year-old woman was hiking the trail when she lost consciousness.
Other hikers notified 911 dispatch operators, who paged paramedics and search and rescue teams to the trailhead.
One of the first deputies to arrive on the scene, began hiking up the trail and located the woman about a quarter mile from the trailhead. They reported that the hiker had regained consciousness and was hiking down the trail on her own.
Paramedics were waiting at the trailhead to access the woman, who declined treatment.
The hiker was reportedly not from this area.
