
LOGAN — Law enforcement has called off the search for an 87-year-old man, after he was located Friday afternoon, hours after law enforcement had had asked for help locating him. David K. Christensen is reportedly from Ashland, Kentucky but was visiting a residence at 1480 E. 800 North, Thursday night when he disappeared.
Logan City Police Lt. Derek Dickey said Christensen had been found “safe and sound.” He expressed appreciation for the help from the public and media.
The police department had initiated a statewide alert at 3:30 p.m. after Christensen had still not been from in over 18 hours. The man was diabetic and unfamiliar with the area, which concerned officers.
Around 5:30 p.m., two hours after the alert had been issued, Dickey confirmed with News Talk KVNU that Christensen had been located and was okay.
