Saranoni donates $100,000 worth of comfort to cancer patients – Cache Valley Daily

SALT LAKE CITY – In a gesture of compassion, Saranoni recently donated $100,000 worth of luxurious blankets to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. The act of kindness was set in motion during the summer of 2021 and was given the name “Saranoni Cares” by Nathan and Emily Peterson, the founders of the Cache Valley-based company. Tragically, their lives took an unexpected turn when Nathan was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, only months after initiating the donation plans.

Nathan passed away a mere eight weeks after his diagnosis in January 2022. His untimely death made this donation all the more significant to his wife, family, and the Saranoni team. Throughout his tenure, Nathan was known for reminding his colleagues and employees that a soft blanket could convey solace in moments “when there are no words.” Determined to honor his memory and extend comfort to cancer patients who continue their arduous battles, Emily Peterson and the Saranoni team are committed to fulfilling Nathan’s vision.

The $100,000 worth of luxury blankets, carefully crafted by Saranoni, were presented to the Huntsman Cancer Institute on May 18th. Cancer patients will benefit from the warmth and comfort these blankets provide, offering a tangible source of relief amidst their physical and emotional struggles.
