A month-long initiative offering free A1C testing with every blood donation is being offered by the American Red Cross of Utah through August.

Since diabetes affects one in 10 Americans, and many cases go undiagnosed, this initiative can provide personal health insights. Free A1C testing will be available for all successful blood, platelet, and plasma donations made between August 1-31, 2025.

Results will be available in one to two weeks through the Red Cross Blood Donor App or online portal.

Also, a $15 e-gift card will go to each donor giving blood between August 1-28.

A1C tests are a vital measurement of blood sugar levels that can provide early insights into a diabetes risk.

To donate blood, donors may schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
