BINGHAM COUNTY, Idaho — A 46-year-old Pocatello man died in a semi-truck rollover Friday morning. The crash was reported around 10:20 a.m. along Interstate-15, north of Fort Hall Indian Reservation.
Idaho State Police officers report the man was driving a 2018 Freightliner UPS truck northbound on I-15 and drove into the median, near milepost 87.
The truck then drove across the southbound lanes of I-15 onto the right shoulder and rolled off the roadway.
Police report the truck driver was wearing a seatbelt. He was taken to a nearby hospital via air ambulance and succumbed to his injuries.
Traffic on I-15 was blocked for a short amount of time for the air ambulance.
Police did not release the driver’s identity, pending notification of family.
The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
