OGDEN — Bank of Utah has launched its sixth annual “My Utah” photo contest, inviting photographers across the state to share what makes Utah special through outdoor and landscape photography.
Running through July 11, the contest is open to both amateur and professional photographers. Participants are asked to submit images that answer the prompt: “My Utah is ____,” celebrating Utah’s natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle.
Prizes include $500 for first place, $300 for second, and $200 for third. Nine honorable mentions will also be selected. All winners will be featured in the bank’s annual photo calendar, with the first-place image appearing on the cover and select entries displayed on billboards. A “Best in Show” award, based on public voting, includes a $150 prize.
“The My Utah Photo Contest is back, and we can’t wait to see the incredible images this year’s participants will share,” said Branden Hansen, president of Bank of Utah. “Each year, we receive hundreds of submissions that continue to raise the bar in creativity and quality. It’s been inspiring to watch how this contest has helped launch some photographers into their professional careers.”
Winners will be announced on July 18. Selected entries will also be featured in the bank’s “Feature Fridays” series on Instagram.
