BOX ELDER COUNTY — A person of interest connected to a homicide investigation in Michigan was arrested in Montana after he was believed to be in northern Utah.
Michigan State Police say Chadwick Shane Mobley, 42, was last seen in Corinne on June 7. He is not an official suspect, but is described as a person of interest in a 2011 murder in Michigan.
No other information about the homicide investigation was released.
On June 13, Utah officials asked that residents stay alert as Mobley could be in northern Utah and living in his truck, which was described as white with dark-tinted windows and tail lights.
More than two weeks later, on June 28, officials in Lincoln County, Montana, announced that Mobley had been arrested “based upon a tip from some smart local…Facebook followers.”
