BOISE – Nominations are now open for Idaho’s Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors individuals who have made significant, long-term contributions to the state’s recreation or tourism industries.
Governor Brad Little will select the 2025 honoree based on their impact in developing, managing, or conserving Idaho’s recreation resources, or in promoting and supporting tourism across the state. The award will be presented during the Idaho Conference on Recreation and Tourism (ICORT), scheduled for October 20-22 at the Blue Cross Conference Center in the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls.
The Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award is a longstanding recognition given annually at ICORT, which brings together public, private, and nonprofit travel and recreation professionals from across Idaho. The event is designed to foster education, networking, and innovation in the state’s growing travel and tourism economy.
Nominations will be accepted through Wednesday, August 20. A nomination form is available online.
The initiative is supported by Visit Idaho, the tourism division of the Idaho Department of Commerce. Visit Idaho promotes the state’s diverse landscapes, cultural heritage, and outdoor opportunities. Tourism is Idaho’s third-largest industry, and officials say honoring legacy leaders in the field helps inspire continued growth.
