A larger-than-usual attendance is expected when the next meeting of Logan’s Planning Commission is held on Thursday, October 13. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers of Logan City Hall.

There is a sign at the corner of 200 North and Main Street which is the site for a proposed new 102 unit hotel. Logan Downtown Manager Gary Saxton says the sign announces the meeting of the planning commission where a public hearing will be held seeking approval of the new hotel.

“It has been posted for the public to attend the public hearing if they wish to voice their opinion, their thoughts for the planning commission. We are excited for the possibility of that moving forward successfully and getting the city council’s approval and moving forward. That’s really good news for the city.”

Saxton says Logan Mayor Craig Petersen and his staff have been working with developers and everyone seems to be excited about what the new hotel will mean for Logan City.
