UPDATE: Aladin Gamar has been located. Logan City Police Lt. Brad Franke said the missing teenage boy was found safe in Hyde Park, thanks to a citizen’s tip.

LOGAN — Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help, locating a 15-year-old boy last seen Sunday night near Logan High School. Aladin Gamar left the school after playing soccer and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Logan City Police Lt. Brad Franke said the circumstances of Gamar’s disappearance are concerning. He did not have his cellphone and so law enforcement haven’t had any way to contact or track him.

“We’ve been in touch with family and friends,” said Franke, “and no one has had contact with this young man. He was last seen leaving Logan High School on a bicycle and we just would appreciate any help anyone might have in sightings or know where he could possibly be.”

Gamar is black and described as 5 feet 8 inches, 135 pounds, with a thin build. He has brown eyes and black hair, cut very short.

Franke explained how Gamar was last seen wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a black jacket. He may be on a black mountain bike and have a black backpack.

“This young man has not had any history of issues in the past. A lot of times with teenage kids, you take the queue from the parents and they are very, very concerned that something is not right.”

Police are asking anyone with information about Gamar’s whereabouts to call the Logan City Police Department, 435-753-7555. They are also interested in any friends or school classmates, who might have any info about the last couple weeks of classes.
