LOGAN, Utah — A 20-year-old Logan man has admitted to raping a 13-year-old girl from North Logan. Walter Adonay Vasquez-Aguilar has been in the Cache County Jail since his arrest Oct. 21, 2025.
According to court records, Vasquez-Aguilar appeared July 8 in Logan’s First District Court. He accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to attempted aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony, and sexual abuse of a child, a second-degree felony. As part of the agreement, two remaining charges were dismissed.
Prosecutors said North Park police officers received a call last fall from the victim and her mother. They described how the girl was receiving explicit photos and threatening messages from an unknown person on social media.
While investigating that case, officers searched the victim’s laptop and phone and discovered a video of the girl and a man engaged in sexual activities. The man appeared to be Hispanic with dark hair past his ears and a mustache.
The victim was interviewed at the Cache Children’s Justice Center. She told investigators she met the unidentified man on Snapchat and they communicated several times. After several days, he reportedly drove to her home in a silver car, picked her up and drove to a residence in west Logan, where he raped her, court paperwork stated.
The girl did not know the man’s name but was able to show officers the home he had driven her to. It was located northwest of Woodruff Elementary School.
Oct. 21, police went to the residence and observed a silver car in the driveway. When they knocked on the door, Vasquez-Aguilar, who matched the suspect’s description, answered, according to court paperwork.
Officers asked Vasquez-Aguilar if he remembered driving the victim to his home. He reportedly stated that he couldn’t remember her because he had a lot of girls down in his room. After being shown the video taken from the girl’s phone, he reportedly confessed and was arrested.
Vasquez-Aguilar remains in jail without bail. He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 19 and could face up to life in prison.
